Parkour, or, urban gymnastics, is an activity where players go from one point to another by doing flips, jumps, or rolls using the material aspects of one’s environment. If there is a wall in your way, tumble over it. To some it’s a non-combative martial art. Here on Central Mall, (from left) Kamran Sandhu, sophomore chemical engineering major from Centerville, Ohio, does a back flip. His friend, Jonathan Lloyd, a sophomore at Wright State University majoring in cyber security, from Philadelphia, watches and waits his turn. Kamran and Jonathan are parkour instructors at a Beavercreek, Ohio gym. Parkour enthusiasts look forward to it becoming an Olympic sport someday.
