D-Day

D-Day

Larry Burgess June 06, 2018

Today is the 74th anniversary of the Normandy landings of Allied forces, known as D-Day. June 6, 1944, is considered the beginning of the end of Nazi occupation of Europe during WWII.

Pictured here is our own memorial plaque of UD Army ROTC alumni, who gave their last full measure of devotion in WWII, mounted just outside the chapel.

Also pictured here is our Heritage Coffeehouse American flag, and the fiber-optic Madonna and Child sculpture on Miriam Hall.
