Features of a UD Education

College is More Than Classes

No matter what major — or majors! — you pursue, at UD, you'll be challenged to open yourself to the world and learn from firsthand experience. Learn how Anna gained valuable experience being part of the Common Good Players.

Creating a Brighter Tomorrow

Whether we're creating sustainable jet fuel or improving the mental health of children, we develop solutions that have a positive impact on society. For example, professors Carissa Krane and Jeremy Erb are studying a treefrog's freeze tolerance to see if this process could be used for biomedical applications — such as better preserving tissue and organs for transplantation.

Research for the Common Good

Nearly all UD students receive financial assistance. Scholarships played a part in Juliano Aquilino ’23 becoming a Flyer. During his time here, he conducted research to visualize a protein within influenza that could be used to develop next generation antivirals.
