SFT for Students FAQ
Student feedback is reviewed by instructors, department chairs, and other administrators. Instructors use the feedback to improve their teaching, and administrators use it as one source of information for merit, retention, promotion, tenure, and other administrative decisions. UD strongly encourages students to offer their input but does not mandate that students complete evaluations - however, the data from evaluations is used to improve courses. Students input matters!
SFT opens ten days prior to the last day of class and closes after the last day of class.
When SFT opens, undergraduate and graduate students will receive a survey announcement by email and have ten days to complete the surveys. Faculty teaching in-person classes should provide time during a class session to complete the survey; consult individual syllabus or your professor for more information.
SFT results will be available to faculty 24 hours after final grades are officially posted. Faculty will not see SFT results until after grades are posted.
Students will have to login to the SFT website using their UD username and password to ensure they receive the correct surveys, but none of their responses will be associated with their student login information.
For in-person classes, faculty should provide time in class to complete SFT, however students can complete SFT online outside of class if they prefer.
