Lois Cavucci, Adjunct Representative to the Academic Senate

My name is Dr. Lois Cavucci and I have been an online adjunct professor with the University of Dayton for 12 years and truly enjoy teaching online courses. For the 2022-2023 school year I am serving on the Academic Senate within the Faculty Advisory Committee.

Currently I teach Research Methods & Design and Leadership in Diverse Communities. Past classes I have taught are, Education Within the Community, Building a Curriculum, and Educational Leadership. I have taught in public and private schools and have served as a principal and an assistant superintendent for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown as well as a CEO/President over eight schools. I served as a Human Resources Director in Shaker Heights Schools. I earned my degrees at Youngstown State University; a Doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2009, a Master’s in Educational Administration in 2003 and my Bachelors in 2001.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two grown daughters, both married, and two beautiful grandbabies. My hobbies include research, reading, and spending time with my granddaughter and grandson. I am thankful and grateful for all that the Good Lord has provided me. A question that I pose to my daughters, students, and fellow colleagues, “How will you use your God-given talents today to serve others?”

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding your role as an adjunct. If I do not know the answer, I will reach out and locate what information I can to assist you. My email address is:  lcavucci1@udayton.edu.  Thank you!
