Digital Drop-Off

NOTE: Please check back for details about using the Write Place remotely while in-person classes are suspended. Online and remote options will begin March 23, 2020.

To use the Digital Drop Off:

  1. Log in to Isidore
  2. Select "Write Place" from the left hand menu
  3. Follow the instructions to upload your paper for review

Please note that a Write Place consultant will spend 30 minutes on a total of 5 pages of your document, offering comments about organization, content, and mechanics using the revision tool in MS Word.  You will receive a notification via email when your paper is ready; a response to your paper can be expected within 48 hours. Please contact the Write Place mailbox with any questions or concerns at

Regular Appointments

While the Write Place is mainly a walk-in service, you do have the option to make an appointment. If you wish to do so, please stop by the information desk in The Knowledge Hub and speak with one of our desk team members or email the Write Place at

Writing Coaching/Standing Appointments

If you're working on a thesis or an extensive research paper, consider making a recurring or standing appointment.

  • Often, papers exceeding 10 - 12 pages are difficult to review thoroughly during one session at the Write Place. We encourage you to consider making a standing appointment with a writing coach to go through the paper in smaller sections.
  • Write Place Consultants have had great success with students who come once or twice a week for an extended period of time. Not only do consultants learn the writing style of the student, but students more intimately discover their own aims for that paper. Both of these occurrences help students become better writers.
  • If you do not see a lengthy paper in your future but like the idea of weekly appointments to strengthen your writing over the course of the semester, please consider our Writing Coaching program. More information can be found under the Faculty Resources tab or email the Write Place Coordinator, Christina Klimo at
