AlcoholEDU
Course Overview
All incoming students are required to complete a series of online courses collectively called the Community Education Modules. These modules assist students in developing a shared understanding of the values we embrace as a Catholic, Marianist university.
AlcoholEdu
AlcoholEdu is one of the courses in the Community Education Modules. It is a research-based education program designed to assist students in making healthy decisions regarding alcohol use in college. AlcoholEdu is comprised of two parts, both must be completed.
- Part I takes about 90 minutes to complete and requires passing an exam.
- There is a mandatory waiting period between Part I and Part II of the course. An automated email will be sent when Part II is ready to be completed.
- Students must complete Part I by the stated deadline to ensure sufficient time for the intersession period and completion of Part II to order to avoid having a hold placed on their student account
- Part II takes about 5 minutes to complete.
Why are students required to take the course?
AlcoholEdu is one aspect of a strategic plan to prevent high-risk drinking, educate students on the effects that alcohol has on the body, and provide resources for students with concerns related to alcohol use.
How do I login?
An email with a link to access the course will be sent to students required to complete the course.
If you need assistance accessing the course or did not receive an email invitation, please call 937-229-1233.
What happens if I do not complete the course?
Failure to complete all courses in the Community Education Modules (including AlcoholEdu) by the deadline will result in a registration hold on your student account. To have the hold removed, complete all outstanding courses and contact the department that oversees them.
Who will see my answers?
All survey responses are confidential. The University of Dayton only receives information about the student body as a whole and never sees individual student answers.
