Workshops

Dialogue and Community-Building

A two-part workshop hosted by the Dialogue Zone

Tuesdays February 28 and Mar 7, 2023

2:00-3:30 PM

Dialogue Zone Meeting Room (RL 107)

Open to UD students, faculty, and staff

Explore how dialogue can be incorporated into efforts to build community with people who share a common social reality, such as a neighborhood, town, network of friends, families, or campus.  Participants will learn about a model for learning through action that revolves around a dialogic process called consultation.  After hearing about several examples of community-building efforts that involve this model, participants will have a chance to apply it to their own current and future efforts to strengthen bonds with others in a particular setting.  Organizational leaders, change agents, community organizers, activists, or anyone interested in strengthening bonds of collaboration and creating change will find the tools in this workshop to be relevant to their experiences.
