Professor Susan Brenner and Megan Rehberg '09 published an article " 'Kiddie Crime?': The Utility of Criminal Law in Controlling Cyberbullying" in the First Amendment Law Review, produced by the University of North Carolina School of Law. The paper was recently listed on the Social Science Research Network's top 10 download list for Family & Children's Law and Legal Scholars Network: Criminal Offenses & Defenses. Megan is the Grants Administrator for UD, in the Contracts and Grants Department at UDRI, and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education and Allied Professions.
3L Kevin Lacey's article "China and the WTO: Targeting China's IPR Record" was published in the January/February 2010 issue of Landslide, a magazine published by the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Law section. A subscription is required to access the article.
Assistant Professor Thaddeus Hoffmeister was quoted a Washington Post article, "Social networking among jurors is trying judges' patience," examining how technology and culture are affecting jurors and a defendant's right to a fair trial.
Hoffmeister will also present his article "The Impact of the Internet on Jurors" at the annual convention of the American Society of Trial Consultants, June 17-20, in Minneapolis.
Charles Russo, the Joseph Panzer Chair in Education in the University of Dayton School of Education and an Adjunct Professor at UDSL, lectured on "The No Child Left Behind Act: Past, Present and Future Under Obama" in January at the University of Southern Mississippi as part of the Issues and Answers lecture series, sponsored by Southern Mississippi and the Biloxi Sun Herald.
