U.S. Immigration Law Process & Policies CourseImmigration has been a hotly debated topic for decades and, once again, is at the forefront of our national conversation. Join us for a 12-week asynchronous instructor-led online course (May 13-August 4) where you will gain a comprehensive foundation and understanding of this field of law.

Course Highlights

Convenient Classes

You will learn and apply immigration law concepts through a series of 4 self-paced Units that you will complete in 3-week increments. Each Unit should take approximately 3 hours to complete. Additionally, at the end of each Unit (every three weeks) there will be an opportunity to engage with your course professor and classmates in an optional one-hour live zoom session. There will be a total of four live sessions during the course. (Live attendance is optional and each live session will be recorded and made available in the class site.)

Gain In-Depth Knowledge

By the end of this course, you will have an understanding of immigration law, policy, and practice in the areas of Immigrant and Non-Immigrant Visas, Family Based Immigration, Business/Employment/Investment Based Immigration, Removal Proceedings, Criminal Immigration, Humanitarian Immigration Relief, Asylum and Refugee Law, Border Policies and Naturalization.

Receive Certification

Those who complete the course will earn a certificate in U.S. Immigration Law Process & Policies and CLE credit in Ohio and Florida is pending.

The cost for the course is $800.00.

CLE credit in Ohio and Florida is pending.

Registration is final and there will be no refunds permitted.

Registration is not permitted by persons who provide representation without authorization in violation of 8 CFR §292.1, such as for-profit "immigration consultants" and “notarios.”

Meet The Professor
Professor Ericka Curran

University of Dayton School of Law Professor Ericka Curran has an extensive background in clinical and experiential legal education with a focus on immigration and human rights. She has also served in key leadership positions with the American Immigration Lawyers Association as well as on the Executive Committee for the North East Florida Human Trafficking Coalition.
