PILT Seminar

June 9, 2017

A pair of lawyers who argued against the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the U.S. Supreme Court that their client's band name is not offensive and should be trademarked will deliver the keynote speech at the University of Dayton School of Law's 27th annual Program in Law and Technology Seminar Friday, June 9, at Keller Hall.

Other topics to be discussed include the copyright infringement lawsuit involving Madonna's song "Vogue," patent enforcement in the wake of the Samsung v. Apple lawsuit, smart homes and the importance of privacy and security.

The seminar costs $295 and includes a Continental breakfast, box lunch and online access to course materials. The cost for full-time judges, government employees and professors is $200; and full-time students are only $15. CLE credit is approved for 6.2 hours (5.2 general and 1.0 attorney professional conduct instruction).
