Accreditation and Professional Association Memberships
The University of Dayton Intensive English Program is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period December 2022 through December 2032 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions. CEA is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency for English language programs and institutions in the U.S. For further information about this accreditation, please contact CEA, 1001 N. EnglishUSA is the only organization in the United States that includes all types of intensive English programs (IEPs). With a membership of over 450 accredited IEPs, EnglishUSA is the largest membership organization specifically serving and supporting IEPs in the United States. EnglishUSA supports the professional development of IEP leaders and staff, upholds professional standards for IEPs, and increases the visibility of IEPs in the United States. Membership in EnglishUSA is contingent on accreditation by one of the following accrediting bodies: (1) the Commission of English Language Accreditation (CEA); (2) the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), or (3) one of the seven regional accrediting bodies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
