International SOS
The University of Dayton has contracted with International SOS (SOS) to provide worldwide medical, travel and security assistance and evacuation services for all faculty, staff and students participating in university-related or funded travel. The SOS network of multilingual specialists operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from SOS Alarm Center around the world. Access the SOS Portal at www.internationalsos.com by logging on using the University of Dayton member number: 11BYSG000008. iSOS can be reached by phone at 215 942 8478.
Before and during time abroad, all travelers should regularly review up-to-date International SOS reports on safety and security, health issues, medical care and vaccination requirements for the destination country.
Travelers can download an iSOS Membership Card here. However, travelers are NOT required to have a card to obtain services. International SOS can verify traveler coverage by contacting University of Dayton, if necessary.
Starr Insurance
In addition to assistance and evacuation services, the University of Dayton provides health insurance through Starr Insurance for our travelers abroad. This insurance covers university staff, faculty, and students (under age 85) who are traveling on university-sponsored or supported programs or business. The coverage also includes the spouse or domestic partner, as well as dependent children, of the faculty or staff member, if they are accompanying them on their university travel.
To access the health insurance, travelers will contact International SOS (see above). iSOS will facilitate the entire process from advice to services to coverage.
