Gietrzwald:

This is the only place in Poland where the appearances of the Holy Mother received official recognition of the Church. In 1877 the Holy Mother appeared to two girls 160 times and requested the praying of the daily rosary. She herself also blessed a miraculous spring.

Hill of St. Ann:

Thousands of believers come to this sanctuary in Opole in order to give honor to the grandmother of Jesus–St. Ann. They pray before her miraculous statue, imploring her help. The pilgrims also walk the Way of the Cross, which surround the slopes of this holy hill.

Kalwaria Zebrzydowska:

There is a distance of twenty-eight kilometers from Krakow to an illusion reminiscent of the hills of Jerusalem. Covered by chapels and churches, these hills draw millions of pilgrims each year. The heart of the Zebrzydowska sanctuary is in the basilica and the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Calvary which is inside.

Lagiewniki:

In crowded Krakow, the sanctuary at Lagiewniki is a true oasis of peace. Pigrims can come here and give honor to St. Faustina Kowalska, to whom for years the merciful Christ appeared, proclaiming the message of His great love.

This place of the appearance of the Holy Mother is located ten kilometers from Konina. In the middle od the nineteenth century, the Madonna herself predicted that a church would stand in Lichen. In truth, this sanctuary of the Mother of God, Sorrowful Queen of Pland, has grown into the largest sanctuary in all of Poland.

History: In 1813 during a heavy battle, a wounded soldier asked the Holy Mother for rescue. He received a cure and the Holy Mother asked him to look for her picture and take it to his native place. After twenty-three years, the picture was found and hung on a tree. In 1850 the Holy Mother appeared to a shepherd and asked him to tell the people to stop sinning. Later during a terible plague, the people implored the Holy Mother for help. The sick began to regain their health and hope for life. A special book, Lichenska Ksiega Lask, chronicles the recoveries.

Pilgrims visiting the sanctuary enter through "The Steps of Penance" only on their knees. The biggest steeple (fifteen tons) in Poland is here.

Pope John Paul II visited the sanctuary of Lichen with a rosary of pearls.

Piekary Sląskie:

Between the Bytom and Tarnow hills dwells the ost unusual sanctuary. For over 300 years pilgrims have honored a copy of the miraculous image of the Mother of God Piekary. No one knows where the picture was found, but its power was and is so great that before this picture people experience many graces. The blind receive sigt, invalids returnt to health and strength.

Świeta Lipka:

The beginning of this sanctuary is shrouded in legends. The Mother of God appeared to a condemned person who carved a most beautiful figure of the Holy Mother and the Holy Babe. A jury, seeing the figure, released the condemned. He hung the figure on a linden tree. People started to pray before it and received miraculous answers to their prayers. "Before this beautiful figure, even the animals kneel." Today the wooden figure is in the basilica of Swieta Lipka along with a miraculous picture of Mary.
