The Mission of the Franciscans of the Immaculate all over the world, the Family of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, Friars and Sisters, is moving step-by-step and from place to place, till the end of time, to lead all mankind to Heaven through the Immaculate.

Founder: Father Stefano Mahelli and Father Gabriel Maria Pellettieri

Foundation: 1970

Ecclesial Recognition: Established as a Institute of Religious Life with Pontifical Right by Pope John Paul II on August 2, 1970.

Purpose and Activities

Overall Purpose: Members wor tirelessly to further the “Mission of the Immaculate,” which is the work of evangelization “through the Immaculate” reaching millions of people who are in need of the Word of life

Apostolic commitments: The activity of the various communities spread worldwide consists of the care of shrines, help for parish priests near and far, the publication of Catholic literature, the radio apostolate and the television apostolate.
