1840: Death of Father Marcellin Champagnat in a hermitage near St. Chamond, founder of the Marist Brothers and devoted to Mary. He was born May 20, 1789, in Marlhes, Southern France.
1937: Dedication of the restored church at the ancient pilgrimage place of Walsingham, England, founded originally in 1061, destroyed 1538

Portugal: Feast of Guardian Angels celebrated with a children's pilgrimage to Fatima
1946: Death of Servant of God Father Eustachius Kugler, OH, born January 15, 1867, in Nittenau/Opf in Regensburg, Germany. He was provincial of the Brothers of Mercy in Bavaria and fostered devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

Feast of the Axion esti or Mary's apparition at the proclamation of the Akathistos Hymn (Byzantine)
1908: Birth of Francisco Marto, one of the seer children of Fatima
1899: Leo XIII dedicated the world to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who is "one" with the heart of Mary, so that both hearts were to be honored together.

1924: At Zikawei near Shanghai, China with Mongolia and Manchuria dedicated themselves to the "Queen of China." Marian devotion began in the thirteenth century associated with an image of the "Ma-li-ya" = "Our Good Mother" and was most pronounced from the sixteenth-nineteenth centuries. First dedication in 1576. Oldest shrine, Our Lady of Pen-hoa in Macao in 1662.

1917: Second Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. Mary said to the children, "The Lord wishes to establish the devotion to the Immaculate Heart in the world. I promise salvation to those who practice it. God will honor these souls."

2000: Publication of the so-called 'third secret of Fatima' by the prefect of the Congregation of the Faith at the request of Pope John Paul II.
