Africa: Marian Sanctuaries

The French language section of All About Mary publishes an important article on Mary's presence in French-speaking Africa. The article by Father Sebastién Abolodo, a native of Togo, is titled The Presence of Mary in Africa (Les célèbres sanctuaires marials d’Afrique). The goal of the article is to develop a Marian map of Marian sanctuaries, institutions, and organizations. Most importantly, the article begins with the study of African anthropology highlighting the place and role of the African woman in family and society.
All About Mary includes a variety of content, much of which reflects the expertise, interpretations and opinions of the individual authors and not necessarily of the Marian Library or the University of Dayton. Please share feedback or suggestions with marianlibrary@udayton.edu.
