IACT Summer Micro-Internship

Putting Applied Creativity Into Practice

The IACT Summer Micro-Internship is a unique, 6-week professional internship opportunity that consists of cross-sector collaborative challenges that integrate non-linear problem solving, cross-disciplinary collaboration and vocationally-centered creative design. In the summer of 2020, we launched the micro-internship program in a fully virtual format, bringing 5 of the most engaged IACT certificate students from different academic areas of study together to find creative solutions to social innovation challenges.

The 2020 micro-internship focused on:

  • Developing a comprehensive digital strategy for caption.cool, a campaign focused on using closed-captioning to improve literacy.
  • Supporting ongoing projects connected to the IACT undergraduate certificate.

Please note: Applicants for this program must be a declared IACT certificate student in Degree Works and in good standing, and must be junior or senior status for the upcoming fall due to the housing commitment.
