In 2023, IACT took its two major initiatives in creative skills micro-credentials and creative place initiatives and design, and spun them out to two campus areas outside of IACT. IACT is an academic institute training students in the creative skills that today’s job market demands — while applying those same skills to the students’ diverse disciplines of study.
Since launching our micro-credentialing program in Fall of 2020, we've awarded over 1,000 micro-credentials to over 600 students to date. During this time, we partook in three international research studies to better understand the significance and impact on 21st century skills micro-credentials on our students and the workforce.
When Jadah Meadows enrolled at a high school for at-risk students, she didn’t expect to graduate and be working a year later, but after a lesson on resilience from UD’s Institute of Applied Creativity for Transformation, she reformed her life.

The GEM
The GEM at The Hub (Dayton Arcade) is a space that provides equitable access to creative skill building for all learners in the Dayton community.
The GEM is a “school for schools” - providing opportunities for merging creative skill building into any existing curriculum or programs focused on equity, workforce skill development, and/or personal growth mindset.
Between our downtown office and The GEM, our spaces at the Hub in the Dayton arcade are well equipped to host anyone who seeks collaborative progress for the City of Dayton.
From 'K to Gray', The GEM is equipped to advance learning outside of the traditional classroom for all learners. Will you join us?
