IACT is home to the nation’s first undergraduate certificate in Applied Creativity for Transformation. Open to undergraduate students of any major, the certificate is a first step in achieving the University of Dayton’s vision of innovation, applied creativity, entrepreneurship and community engagement for the common good.

GEM: An Experimental Learning Lab

The GEMnasium is a transdisciplinary incubator for social innovation that has transformed learning for more than 1,100 students and nearly 45 educators across 17 different disciplines since its launch in 2018.

Expanding Our Influence

The Hub at the Dayton Arcade will be an urban laboratory for students from all majors. It will house our second GEMnasium experimental classroom, the Crotty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Art and Design studio spaces, a makerspace, an engineering innovation center, and a student-run bistro operated by Flyer Enterprises.
