Center for Leadership

The Office of Human Resources has partnered with the Center for Leadership to provide benefits-eligible employees with increased opportunities for top-notch professional development.  Below are some of the opportunities.

Supervisory Leadership Certificate and Emerging Leader Programs

The Office of Human Resources will--after a generous subsidy from the Center for Leadership--fund 75% of the remaining cost of these programs for selected applicants.  The Supervisory Leadership Certificate program is designed to equip frontline supervisors and managers with the tools they need to become true leaders.  The Emerging Leader program is intended for high-potential faculty and staff with extensive, professional leadership experience.

Professional Development Offerings

Each benefits-eligible employee is entitled to $1200 worth of professional development offerings per fiscal year from the Center for Leadership.  These come at no cost to the individual or department.  However, employees who exceed the amount should be aware that their departments will be billed directly for the remaining cost.  These include the suite of Professional Development programs as well as individual courses within the Supervisory Leadership Certificate program.

Executive Development Programs

Benefits-eligible UD employees are also entitled to enrollment in Executive Development programs at a significantly discounted rate.
