Graduate Assistant Benefits

The University of Dayton is committed to providing quality health care coverage for our Graduate Assistants.  The University offers a Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP) combined with a Health Saving Account (HSA) and two Preferred Provider Organizations (or PPOs). The Core and Advantage PPO plans differ in the amount of coverage they provide. Please see the health plan summary links below for plan details. Dental coverage is also available through Superior Dental Care, a local dental plan company.


Upon hire, you will receive an email that will provide you with a link to videos on each of the benefits provided to you as a benefit eligible employee. University email accounts will be used to distribute this information to new graduate assistants. Please watch each video in its entirety and complete the questions at the end of each video to move on. You will login to the videos by using the generic password, “password”. Prior to beginning the quiz at the end of the video, you will be asked for your name and UD or UDRI assigned email account to record completion. If you have problems with your email address, please contact the UD Help Desk at 229-3888 or the UDRI Help Desk at 229-2700. After completing the videos, if you have further questions about your benefits, please contact Anita Harris, Benefits Coordinator, at 229-2539.
