Yellow Ribbon for Graduate & Law Students

Graduate Yellow Ribbon funding is awarded to qualified applicants once per academic year if the applicant reaches the annual Chapter 33 Post 9/11 payment cap. Eligible applicants receive an award from UD and a matching award from the VA. UD's award and the VA's match cannot equal more than the total amount owed for tuition in the semester that the cap is reached. Below are the annual maximum amounts students may be eligible to receive from UD's portion of the award.

*Please note: The Yellow Ribbon award funded by the University may impact institutional merit or need based scholarships that you have previously been awarded.

Law School Students: Awards up to $6,000 once per year (with equal VA match)

All Other Graduate Students: Awards up to 1/2 of remaining unfunded tuition once per year (with equal VA match)

To be considered, complete the Yellow Ribbon Application as soon as possible.
