Property Management

Property Management

Property Management oversees 4,400 capital assets worth more than $100 million.  There are 2 focus areas for Property Management at University of Dayton.

  • Asset Management: All property valued at $5,000 and more requires asset tagging and proper accounting.  Property Management works with all schools, colleges and departments to track and tag equipment and assets valued at $5,000 or more.
  • Property Disposition: Property Management oversees the disposition of property that are no longer needed at the University.  Typically, the dispositioning assessment determines whether an item will be sold, donated or scrapped.  When the University determines that an item is valuable enough to sell, the item will be listed for sale on the website, GovDeals.  If an item is considered a University asset, the Equipment Disposal Form must be completed as part of the disposal process to ensure University records are kept up-to-date.

Contact Jim Blair at for information about Property Management and the dispositioning process.  See the Policy for Capital Equipment Accountability or UDRI's Property Records website (requires password) for more information.
