GRITS Project and Investment Tracking Tool
GRITS Project and Investment Tracking Tool
In order to track potential projects on campus some basic information is needed to determine if the projects have some type of savings and what is the ROI, does it make sense to do the proposed project at this time or should we step back and rethink the project to make it environmentally and financially sustainable.
Here are some of the resources that can claim some type of savings. Some projects can claim more than one resource in a single project:
- Electricity
- Steam
- Chilled Water
- Natural Gas
- Gasoline
- Diesel
- Waste
- Water
- Maintenance (Deferred)
Some basic information is needed before the project is started to verify if the project is sustainable.
- Project Lead
- What and how many of the existing equipment
- Hours of operation
- How will the savings be verified (actual field measurements, or some type of industry trusted calculations, can we use the help of students to verify).
- Spec Sheet(s) for proposed new equipment
- Proposed project costs (Material & labor and or any continuous care or maintenance)
- Projected or industry verified life expectancy of the new equipment.
- Location(s)
- Brief description of the scope of work
