Alex Burwell

Alex has over five years of experience as a Radar/EW Systems Engineer. He spent nearly three years as a civilian, working for the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB where he focused on the engineering and analysis of airborne radar systems. From there, he went to the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHU/APL) in Laurel, Maryland. At APL, he worked as a radar systems engineer providing full life-cycle development and support for advanced naval systems.
Currently, Alex works for SRC, Inc. in Beavercreek, Ohio, where he performs radar and EW engineering for a wide spectrum of advanced radar systems. Academically, Alex has a bachelor’s in physics from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton. During his master’s work, Alex focused on Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar and the evaluation of orthogonal coding. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the University of Dayton, with a focus on Bistatic GMTI radar.
