Registration for the 2023 SEE-UD Co-Ed Engineering Camp is CLOSED. Limited space is still available for the Multi-Ethnic Men in Engineering Camp and Women in Engineering Camp. If you are interested in attending either the Multi-Ethnic Men in Engineering Camp or Women in Engineering Camp or would like to join the waitlist for the Co-Ed Engineering Camp, we invite you to fill out our form. Eligibility for our Residential Experiences

  • Our residential camps are open to high school students entering 11th grade (class of 2025) or 12th grade (class of 2024) in the fall of 2023
  • Requirements: 3.0 GPA
  • If you meet the eligibility requirements, please use the registration links above to register now.
  • Still interested in attending but not eligible?  If you do not meet the 3.0 GPA requirement or will be entering 10th grade but are still interested in attending a residential camp, click here to complete and submit an “Interested, but not eligible” form. There is limited availability for each camp and extra spaces will be filled based on this form.

Cost

  • $465 for each 4-day/3-night camp

Registration Deposit

  • The registration deposit for a residential 4-day / 3-night camp is $100 (M²E, CEC, WIE)
  • Your registration deposit is applied toward total camp fees and is non-refundable (see exceptions in cancellation policy below)

Financial Assistance

A limited amount of special circumstance-based financial assistance is available for the residential camps and will be granted on a needs-based basis. Financial assistance is not available for the virtual experience.

Applications will be reviewed on the 15th of each month during February, March, and April, and awards will be granted for that application period by the last business day of the month.

Awards are available for partial or full assistance of camp fees, but does not include camp deposits. If you need to be considered for financial assistance for the camp deposit, please indicate this in the form. Camp deposits are required for all registrants at time of registration. If a special circumstance-based award is not granted, and the student chooses not to attend the camp, the application deposit will be returned.

Prior to registering, please have the following available:

  • Student’s GPA 
  • Student's T-shirt size (short sleeve, standard fit)
  • Method of payment for deposit – credit card
  • Both parent and student non-school email

Residential camps have limited capacity and will fill on a first come, first served basis.

After You Complete Registration

  • You will receive a reply confirming your registration (during normal business hours Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm) and including instructions to complete your additional registration paperwork and final payment (if applicable) for the camp in which you have applied.
  • Additional future communication will come from engineeringcamps@udayton.edu 
  • If you requested financial assistance, you will hear back by the end of the application period in which you applied.
    • On or before February 1st, awards will be granted by February 15
    • On or before March 1st, awards will be granted by March 15
    • On or before April 1st, awards will be granted by camp registration deadline 
    • After April 1st, awards will be granted, if available, by May 15

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made on or before 45 days prior to the start of camp are refundable, minus the $100 registration deposit. Registration deposits are non-refundable at any time with the only exception being that a student was not admitted into the camp. In this case, a full refund will be provided.

Disability Event Statement

The University of Dayton strives to provide equal and easy access to programs and services for individuals with disabilities. Individuals requiring accommodations to attend the Summer Engineering Experiences at the University of Dayton are encouraged to contact the Office of Learning Resources with their request by May 15 in order to ensure adequate processing time. If the event is held multiple times, the University reserves the right to provide accommodations for select instances.

Students must be able to self-medicate their own medication as well as manage their own medical conditions.

While some of the camps are focused towards a specific gender or ethnicity, please know that all participants are welcome to attend any camp.
