University Innovation Fellows

Through the University of Dayton's partnership with KEEN, several groups of accomplished UD students have participated in University Innovation Fellows Leadership Circles since 2015.

UIF believes students can change the world. It empowers students to become leaders of change in higher education. Fellows at UD are part of a global movement to ensure that all students gain the necessary attitudes, skills and knowledge to compete in the economy of the future.

UIF Dayton Team Moves Forward
Four University of Dayton 2018 University Innovation Fellows (UIF), were among the 258 students from 64 schools in nine countries who recently attended their first UIF meetup in Silicon Valley.

"What I Wish I'd Learned in College" Workshop

This event was hosted by the EMpwr University of Dayton Student Chapter, KEEN Engineering Unleashed and the University of Dayton.

In the fall of 2015, students from across campus and from other KEEN schools learned entrepreneurial-minded keys to success after college. Event speakers and their topics included:

  • Randy Hobbs, General Electric, UD Alum '90 & '97, Leadership in Action
  • Amy Marcotte, Standard Bariatrics, UD Alum '03, Understanding Your Customers
  • Grant Hoffman, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Seeing Pains as Opportunities
  • Comedian Jeff Caldwell as seen on CBS' The Late Show
