Building Energy Center

The University of Dayton's Building Energy Center (UD-BEC) was founded in 2006 with the goal of helping to improve building performance and energy efficiency while educating energy-efficiency engineers and advancing the science of building energy performance.

Industrial Assessment Center

The University of Dayton Industrial Assessment Center (UD-IAC) conducts free energy, waste and production assessments for mid-sized industries and is funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Innovation Center

The cornerstone of the University of Dayton School of Engineering, the Innovation Center, is a transformational space where all disciplines of our school come together to encounter, debate, address, investigate and solve multi-faceted problems.

LiDAR and Optical Communications Institute (LOCI)

The LOCI is believed to offer the nation's first laser radar curriculum. LOCI consolidates the brainpower of the region's LiDAR researchers and instructors from UD and the Air Force Institute of Technology to put LiDAR on a fast track to the battlefield and business.

Nanoscale Engineering Science and Technology Laboratory (NEST)

The NEST Lab is a multiuser facility for student researchers, faculty, and educational and industry clients with state-of-the-art equipment that enables research and development through the interrogation, characterization and manipulation of materials at the nanoscale.

Vision Lab: Center of Excellence for Computer Vision and Wide Area Surveillance Research

The Vision Lab focuses on computer vision and wide-area surveillance to develop new algorithms and architectures for real-time applications in the areas of signal processing, image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial neural networks and bio-mimetic object-vision recognition.
