Experiential Learning Ambassadors

EL Ambassadors are junior and senior undergraduate students who have diverse experience in experiential learning at UD. The goal of the EL Ambassadors program is to connect with primarily first- and second-year students in order to share possible experiences as well as show them how others involved. Through these interactions, students will get a better idea of how they want to be involved, both on campus and in the future.

EL Ambassadors also work through the EL Lab with first- and second-year students to create EL Roadmaps, some of which are included below.

Rhyan Pearson
  • Senior International Studies and Political Science major, with minors in Spanish, Communication, and History
  • employed as Program Coordinator in the Office of Experiential Learning
  • involved as Director of Special Programs in the Student Government Association
  • hopes to attend graduate school in Washington, D.C. and pursue a Master's degree and career in International Affairs or Politics

Jamie Morris

  • senior Communication major, minor in Marketing and Sociology
  • employed with the Hangar through the Center for Student Involvement
  • studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic in Summer 2019
  • hopes to pursue a career in marketing or sales after graduation

Christopher Baldasare

Christopher is a graduate assistant on the Waste Diversion team at the Hanley Sustainability Institute. He completed his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering Technology and is pursuing his masters in Engineering Management at the University of Dayton.

As an undergrad Christopher enjoyed hanging out with his friends, especially the ones he made during his time in the service organization Epsilon Tau Pi.

Claire Abele

Claire Abele is a Senior Civil & Environmental Engineering major from Cincinnati, Ohio. She works on the Zero-Waste team at the Hanley Sustainability Institute, is president of UD's Triathlon Club, and Vice President of Running Club. She is also involved in Catholic Life and ETHOS, and is excited by the opportunity to be an EL ambassador as well.

Juliano Aquilino
  • Sophomore Biochemistry student in the Honors Program
  • Work as an executive at an educational 501c3 non-profit in hometown of Loveland, OH
  • Currently working towards publishing a scientific paper regarding an internal protein in the Influenza A virus with aid from the UD Chemistry Department
  • Studying to work in the Armed Service Biomedical Research sector of the Department of Defense
