Center for Early Learning
The University of Dayton Center for Early Learning advances early care and education through relationship building and shared resources. Established in 2011, the Center also helps to advance UD's Marianist mission to respond to changing times and engage in important community outreach. It is a part of the UD School of Education and Health Sciences.
Bombeck Early Childhood Institute & Speakers Bureau
Strives to provide high quality professional development, consultation and other support services for people who work with young children and families. Services available include online training, a professional learning community, webinars, and consultation. A Showcase of Excellence provides a forum for sharing examples of excellent practice with the field.
Bombeck Family Learning Center
Provide care and educational experiences for infants, toddlers & preschoolers ages 6 weeks to 5 years old by working in partnership with their families as the children grow and develop. The Center also serves as the demonstration school for UD students studying early childhood education.
Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy Program
Designed for experienced early childhood professionals — such as program administrators, supervisors, teacher leaders and other professionals — who work with and advocate for young children and their families. Online program offers multiple non-licensure degrees and certificates.
Family Engagement Collaborative
Joint effort between the UD Center for Catholic Education and Center for Early Learning, along with the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and ReadySetSoar. Collaborative is designed to increase family engagement in the kindergarten readiness process of local children.
This certificate is designed for early childhood professionals. Coursework can be taken as a standalone certificate at the graduate or undergraduate level. It can also be applied to the Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy bachelor's or master's degree.
