Career Enhancement Fund
The John R. Schleppi Sport Management Career Enhancement Fund recognizes Dr. Schleppi's contribution and leadership role in the University of Dayton Sport Management program, created in 1986.
Funds are awarded annually to a non-graduating Sport Management student, to be used to attend professional conferences. Attending these types of events offers students the opportunity for networking as they begin looking for jobs after graduation. The winner must demonstrate a desire to enhance his/her education.
A panel of seniors chooses the winner based on the person's ability to explain why a particular conference was selected, and how the student will leverage that experience. The winner receives $1,500; two runners-up receive $1,000 and $500, respectively.

The University of Dayton is committed to providing an education that extends beyond the walls of the University. The Sport Management program allows students to gain real life experience, which includes attending conferences and generating opportunities to advance in the sport industry. Making a donation to the John R. Schleppi Sport Management Career Enhancement Fund will help support our students’ opportunities to learn more about and to experience the sport industry first hand.
