Profile

Brian Stitt heads the Sustainment Technologies Transition division at UDRI. He is responsible for ensuring that all of the technical objectives of these programs are met on time and within budget, and ensuring staff and resources are responsive to the technical requirements. He ensures effective fiscal control and management of the division.

Brian has over 23 years of experience in technical/program management, product development, product testing and validation, manufacturing/process operations and development, and engineering operations. He has past operations experience with the Product Engineering Center, GE Aviation and as Operations Leader, he developed and executed budget and performance plans for the global engineering team of over 8,000 engineers with a budget in excess of $600M.

He also has previous manufacturing experience as a Quality Engineering Manager at a new Greenfield facility for manufacturing aerospace composite components for jet engines. His previous design experience centers around vehicle chassis systems, including powertrain isolation systems, passive suspension systems, and active ride control suspension systems utilizing magnetorheological fluid. His engineering experience ranges from product testing to product design to product validation and finally production implementation.
