As a graduate of the University of Dayton’s Counselor Education program, I am so glad to be back on campus and working in the counseling center.
Although college is a very exciting time, it can also be stressful and challenging. As a counselor I believe in using a strengths-based approach to help students not only to heal, but to realize their full potential. Through the development of effective coping skills, self-compassion, and self-care every student has the ability to live a happier and more fulfilling life.
My theoretical approach is integrative, borrowing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. My areas of special interest include but are not limited to: anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, self-compassion, and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, painting, baking, antiquing, and exercising.
