Profile
Lee Dixon is the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Learning Initiatives, overseeing programs, services and centers that support the university mission by enhancing learning, teaching, promoting the professional development and engagement of students, faculty, and staff, and integrating learning and living in community. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2009, following his internship at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He regularly taught graduate courses focused on psychotherapy and personality, as well as undergraduate Introductory Psychology, Interviewing and Counseling, and Personality. His primary research interest involves interpersonal relationships and how interpersonal functioning and mental health interact. Specifically, he has and continues to study topics such as forgiveness, self-forgiveness, commitment, relationship satisfaction, religious orientation, attachment style, relationship-contingent self-esteem, along with other relational constructs.
