Biography
Ted Bucaro is the Government & Regional Relations Director for the University of Dayton and has served in that capacity since 2001. His primary responsibility is to work closely with federal, state, local, and neighborhood officials. He has also played a role in the University’s property acquisitions and subsequent redevelopment.
Ted is a native of Chicago and began his career in the city management profession in Roselle, Illinois’ Village Administrator’s Office where he worked for four years. In 1989, he became a management analyst for the City of Dayton's Office of Management and Budget and in 1992, went on to be the Assistant to the City Manager/Human Resources Director for the City of Huber Heights, Ohio. In 1995, Ted made the jump to higher education where he served as the Director of Financial Services and Human Resources at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana for six years, after which, he moved into his current position at UD.
He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Elmhurst College (IL) and a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from Northern Illinois University.
