Personal History

I am a Campus Ministry graduate assistant, ministering mainly in Founders Hall, as well as in the Peer Discipleship program. I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and attended undergrad at Oregon State University. After working as a peer minister at OSU's Newman Center, I planned to become a full-time campus minister. God, however, had other plans, and instead I spent the next 13 years working for the Boy Scouts at camps in Oregon and New Mexico. It was at camp that I learned what fun (and sometimes what hard work) it is to accompany people who are making the transition from high-school to adulthood. The work is its own reward though, because I get to walk with people as they begin to see and understand who God has created them to be and what that means for their future plans. I can't imagine anything better than being a part of that process.

When I have free time I tend to spend it creating things - I will use any method I can to add color to my life: sewing, crafting, decorating, even baking and cooking (technicolor pancakes are my favorite). I also like to pretend I know how to garden.
