Personal History

Cheyenne was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. She graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas with a Bachelor’s in Criminology. After graduation, she pursued a year of service in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where she worked as a pastoral minister for women and lived in community with her fellow volunteers and neighbors. Upon her return to the U.S., she spent 8 months working for Catholic Volunteer Network (CVN) as a recruiter for various volunteer organizations. Cheyenne’s experience in Ecuador led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry at the University of Dayton. During her graduate career at UD, she worked as a graduate assistant at the Center for Social Concern (CSC) in Campus Ministry where she embraced her passions for faith and justice. Cheyenne graduated with her Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry and has now been signed on to the Campus Ministry team as a full-time employee. Cheyenne is now the Campus Minister for Marycrest Hall and LatinX Ministry.

In her free time, Cheyenne enjoys outdoor activities, going to the gym, traveling, and a good TV show for the occasional binge watch. Food and/or coffee are her necessary items for a great gathering with others. Her favorite restaurant in Dayton is La Michoacana and her favorite coffee shop is the Gem City Catfe. Cheyenne’s office is located in Marycrest Hall on the second floor. Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself or send her an email to set up a time to meet!
