Personal History

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work in Campus Ministry at the University of Dayton.  I have 22 years of experience in the fields of Pastoral Ministry, Social Justice and Catechesis that all began my first year as a student leader right here at UD!  As an alumnus, I fully embrace the Marianist charism that sets the University apart through a unique focus on education, community, a dialogue between faith and culture, and social justice, and I am excited to explore this charism with the students here on campus.

I graduated from UD in 2004 with a BA in Religious Studies and Minors in both Social Work and Women’s Studies and am currently working towards my Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry.  I have been married to my college sweetheart (and fellow Flyer) for 17 years, and we have four children who keep us incredibly busy in our free time.  Recently I had the opportunity to establish and spearhead the Office for Persons with Disabilities within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, which has driven my passion to cultivate a culture of belonging for all.  I am a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and a member of the Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers, and I look forward to using these unique skills and connections here on campus to eliminate the stigma that is often associated with mental illness and to provide spiritual support for people who are struggling.

I can't wait to hear your stories, share ideas, and journey together in faith in the year to come!!!
