Profile & Areas of Primary Responsibility

Scot joined UD in 2021. Prior to joining UD’s legal team, Scot worked in private practice with several law firms in northeastern Ohio including Brouse McDowell, Fisher Phillips, and Kastner Westman & Wilkins. Throughout Scot’s legal career, his practice has focused almost exclusively on labor and employment law.

In the University’s Office of Legal Affairs, Scot’s primary role is to represent the University on a wide range of labor and employment matters including compliance with laws and rules affecting the workplace, administrative proceedings, labor relations, and employment litigation management. Scot is also the point person for employment sponsored immigration issues, and will assist the legal team with contract review and other matters as needs arise.
