Judge Singer has been a General Division Judge with the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court since 2005. He serves as the Budget Committee Chair, and also serves on the Criminal Practice, Executive, Technology, and Personnel Committees.

Judge Singer received his B.A. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1973, and his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1979.

Prior to beginning his judicial career, Judge Singer was in private practice in the Dayton area where he engaged in litigation, general business law, and real estate law. Judge Singer has also served for fifteen years as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Dayton School of Law. He has been a partner in various law firms, including Legler & Singer; Hall, Tucker, Fullenkamp & Singer; and was most recently a member of the law firm of Singer, Tolliver & Epley.

Judge Singer serves on the Judicial Advisory Board for the MonDay Community Correctional Facility as well as the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association. He is a member of the Ohio and Dayton Bar Associations, and has been licensed to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky and the United States Supreme Court.
