Profile
Prof. Reza is a veteran educator with a variety of experiences and expertise. She has served as a classroom professor, course writer, and administrator at several law schools and universities. Teaching active and engaged learning is her passion.
Prof. Reza graduated from USC School of Law where she served as the Executive Editor of the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice.
Prof. Reza began her legal career at Irell & Manella LLP, where she practiced transactional drafting, general litigation, and corporate reorganization. She was later recruited by an employment law firm where she practiced and litigated all aspects of work place discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, traditional labor law, trade secrets, wage-and-hour law, and class action defense. Prof. Reza counsels numerous companies and organizations in the areas of organizational human resources and general employment law.
Prof. Reza has been teaching graduate legal courses and other undergraduate courses since 2004. Besides UDSL, she teaches law school students at Chapman School of Law, Whittier Law School, and The Colleges of Law. At the law school level, Prof. Reza teaches upper level writing classes, Employment Law, Labor Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Professional Responsibility, Community Property, and Estate Planning. Prof. Reza spent several months at Nanjing University in China, where she taught International and Comparative Employment Law to Chinese and American students. Additionally, Prof. Reza is an Adjunct Professor at Vanguard University of Southern California, where she teaches Business Law, Small Business Management, Conflict Resolution and Negotiation, Management Principles, and Business Ethics courses.
In 2011, Prof. Reza had the honor to deliver the Commencement address to Vanguard University’s graduate and school for Professional Studies graduating class.
