Profile
Richard Perna joined the School of Law faculty in 1982. He was the director of the Law Clinic for five years and previously served as associate dean for academic affairs from 1992 to 1998 and from 2007 to 2011.
After graduating from Villanova University School of Law in 1975, Dean Perna joined the Community Legal Services, Inc., of Philadelphia as a staff attorney. He later became a managing supervising attorney at the firm. In 1979 he began his teaching career at the University of Pennsylvania School of Law as a lecturer and clinical supervisor before coming to the University of Dayton.
Professor Perna retired from the University of Dayton School of Law in December 2016.
