Profile
Professor Khantrece is a Mitigation Specialist/Investigator for the Western District of Pennsylvania, in the Capital Habeas Unit, where she works on capital habeas appeals for clients sentenced to death. She has as well worked as a prisoner’s rights advocate, poverty law advocate, and restorative justice facilitator. Professor Khantrece’s specific areas of interest are in anti-racist educational curriculum, race and the law, dismantling prison pipelines, human rights in the United States, and death penalty/prison abolition. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Creative Leadership for Innovative Change in Education at the University of the Virgin Islands.
