Profile
Andrea Jordan is an attorney and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) professional who has spent her career serving the community. She currently serves as the managing attorney for the Joliet office of Prairie State Legal Services, one of the largest civil legal aid firms in Illinois. She specializes in education, family law, as well as other poverty law areas. Prior to Prairie State, she worked with California Rural Legal Assistance, helping low-income clients with poverty law issues. She also served as a criminal prosecutor and is a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to working as an attorney, Andrea has committed herself to DEI education and outreach. She is the co-chair of the Racial Justice Initiative at Prairie State and a DEI co-hort leader in her organization. She served as the Secretary and President of the Black Bar Association of Will County, IL and is a current a board member. She is also a member of the Will County Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association. She is published in the Legal and DEI space, having written and co-authored articles on Implicit Bias Training, Race and Education, and DEI in healthcare spaces.
