Maureen H. Anderson joined the Zimmerman Law Library faculty in 2004 as a reference librarian. She has been the Assistant Director for Public Services since 2006. In 2016, she served as interim co-director of Bar Support. In 2020 she was named Director of Student Life. Before joining the library faculty at the University of Dayton, she worked as Senior Case Law Editor at LexisNexis.

As Assistant Director for Public Services, Professor Anderson supervises 4 full-time paraprofessionals and 30 student employees. She also serves as the Pro Bono Coordinator for the Law School, faculty advisor to Lambda Legal, the Volunteer Student Lawyers Project, the Law School Democrats, and serves on the Graduate Student Showcase Committee. Professor Anderson is currently the Law School liaison for the Law & Leadership Institute (LLI), after serving as Site Administrator for 5 years. In fall 2016, she developed and held the first annual Physician Assistant (PA) Mock Trial at the Law School.

Professor Anderson regularly contributes to legal academic journals, including the Dayton Bar Journal and the Law Library Journal. She is also a contributing author in Privacy Rights in the Digital Age.

At the University level, Professor Anderson is an active Marianist Educational Associate, Marianist Student Community mentor, and Green Dot member. She was awarded the Dean Francis J. Conte Special Service Award for service to the Law School in 2015.
