Jeri Taylor

Full-Time Faculty
Global and Intercultural Affairs Center
Profile
After completing her Master’s work at the University of Maryland, Jeri went to Okinawa, Japan to teach in the University of Maryland’s Asian division. There she was given the chance to teach her first course of all international students. She was smitten and has been teaching international students ever since. After teaching in Japan for 3 years she went to Russia where she taught at Moscow State University in the Foreign Languages Department for 17 years.
Finally returning home to the Dayton area in 2010, she was fortunate to be hired by the Intensive English Department at UD where she has been teaching for 9 years. Also while at UD Jeri has been thrilled to have the opportunity to train teachers, from primarily Latin American countries, in the summer SEED program. Working with International students and teachers is definitely her love, and she can’t imagine doing anything in which they would not be a part of her life.
