Profile

Brenna currently serves as Assistant Director for the Global and Intercultural Affairs Center. She has been with the University of Dayton since 2009. Brenna has worked in education for over 20 years as faculty member and administrator in various primary, secondary, and higher education settings, including the Intensive English Program at the University of Dayton. Most recently, she was the Program Coordinator for the University of Dayton English Language Institute (UDEL), where she worked to serve EFL teachers and learners in Latin America. She received her PhD in Educational Leadership in 2022, focusing on DREAMers and migrant/returnee teacher identity development and online education. Brenna has done research in second language writing, prosodics, and campus internationalization, and is especially interested in linguistically- and culturally-responsive pedagogy.
