Kurt Westergaard is an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for the University of Dayton. He promotes and supports the safe and responsible conduct of University of Dayton employees in the performance of their duties and the environments in which they work. His emphasis is supporting the activities within the University of Dayton Research Institute as their Safety Coordinator and managing University safety programs.

Kurt has been with the University since 2016, after completing 26 years with the United States Air Force in various roles at eight different base locations.  He enjoys hiking, bicycling, and kayaking.
