Sharon Gavlick has been with the University of Dayton since June 2002. She moved from the Northeast to Dayton in 1985 after receiving a degree in Print Journalism from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to UD, she worked as a technical writer and office manager for a local environmental & safety consulting firm. Currently, Sharon is the Manager and Senior Insurance Claims Analyst in the department of Audit, Risk & Compliance. She values the UD Marianist Catholic tradition and the charism of respecting and serving others and now has the opportunity to practice those qualities with each insurance claim she processes and with every phone call she answers. In addition to studying music, Sharon likes to garden, listen to family stories from friends, and practice tai chi.
