Why UD?
UD stuck out to me when I was researched colleges because of its engaging community. When visiting, I was impressed by how close students got to live to campus and how they get to live next to each other.
Why did you choose engineering? Why UD engineering?
I chose engineering because of my love for math and science. I came in as a Discover Engineering major not sure what concentration I wanted to pursue. UD helped me pick Chemical Engineering through my advisors and classes. Whenever I mentioned UD to acquaintances, I only heard good things about their engineering and co-op programs.
What is your favorite part of UD?
My favorite part of UD is the relationships students form with each other. Coming from a smaller major, we all got to know each other and gained the ability to work together not just on classwork and assignments but on other tasks like job hunting and winning intramurals.
What advice would you give high school students?
My advice to highschool students is look at how students engage with each other outside of class, make sure you know what size school you want to pursue and lastly look into what sort of engagement students can do outside of class — whether it's service or sports.
